What's the worst thing an AI resume tool ever added to your resume?
Hi everyone 👋 I'm launching Resumeize here tomorrow.
It started with something I kept seeing: AI resume tools "tailor" a resume by quietly adding skills the person doesn't have. "Kubernetes expert." "Led a team of 40." "Revenue up 300%." It gets past the ATS, then falls apart in the first interview question.
So I built the opposite: every requirement in the job is matched to a line you actually wrote, and when there's a gap, it asks you instead of making something up.
Before launch, I'd love to hear from you:
- Job seekers: has an AI tool ever invented something on your resume? Did you catch it?
- Recruiters and hiring managers: how often do you spot made-up skills, and what gives them away?
- Everyone: what would make you trust an AI with your resume?
I'll read every reply, and the best stories will shape what I build next.
