Built ReplayFoundry free AI local-first windows app turn streams/videos into clips - launching 8/17

Hey Product Hunt 👋
ReplayFoundry launches on here Monday, August 17.
I built it after repeatedly running into the same problem: recording gameplay is easy and fun for streamers, but dedicating 4 hours to a stream then having to dedicate turning those hours of footage into something worth publishing means spending more of your time to find the right moment, trimming it, reframing it, adding captions, rendering, organizing, and uploading - usually across several different tools.
ReplayFoundry brings that workflow into one Free Windows app:
Find promising moments in long gameplay recordings using AI or hueristics if you use a lower end machine/non-compatible
Turn them into vertical, short-form clips
Review and refine everything in Studio
Add animated captions and adjust framing
Edit titles and descriptions while keeping creative control
Render, organize, schedule, and publish from one workflow
Use local AI options so recordings can remain on your computer
No cloud uploads, no subscription model, private, local, and FREE
This is an early public beta, and I’m especially interested in honest feedback from gamers, streamers, video editors, and people building creator tools.
Before Monday, I’d love to hear:
Which part of turning gameplay into short-form content takes you the longest?
What alternative or similar tools have you used and what did you like or dislike about them?
How much control would you want an automated tool to retain versus leaving to you?
What would ReplayFoundry need to do before you would trust it with a real recording?
I’ll be here answering questions and sharing what I learned while building it. Thanks for taking a look - I’m excited to hear what you think.
