RentProof - Create timestamped rental inspection reports in minutes
byโข
RentProof helps renters document the condition of a home before moving in, during a tenancy, or before moving out.
Create a room-by-room walkthrough, capture timestamped photos, record existing damage, add notes, and generate an organized PDF report that can be shared with a landlord or safely stored for future reference.
No complicated inspection software. No account required. Your rental documentation stays organized and ready when you need it.

Hey Product Hunt ๐
I built RentProof because taking a few unorganized photos before moving into a rental is rarely enough when a security deposit disagreement happens months later.
Photos get buried in the camera roll. People forget which room they belong to, what damage was already present, and whether they ever shared the evidence with their landlord.
RentProof turns that process into a structured rental walkthrough.
With the app, you can:
๐ธ Document a property room by room
๐ Capture timestamped photo evidence
๐ Tag scratches, stains, cracks, dents, water damage, and other issues
๐ Add condition ratings, severity, locations, and notes
โ๏ธ Compare move-in and move-out photos
๐ Scan appliance serial numbers and utility-meter readings
๐ Generate a professional PDF inspection report
๐ค Share the completed record with a landlord, property manager, or roommate
Privacy was also important to me. RentProof requires no account, works offline, collects no personal data, and keeps your rental photos on your device.
The full walkthrough workflow is free. Users can purchase a single clean PDF export or unlock unlimited watermark-free exports with a one-time purchase there is no subscription.
This is the first public release, and Iโd really appreciate your honest feedback. How do you currently document a rental when moving in or out, and what would make this app more useful for you?
Love that no account is needed, that's a big plus for a privacy-focused tool like this. One thing that would make it even more useful: add a video walkthrough option that auto-stamps each clip to the room and timestamp, so renters can capture a quick sweep of the space in one take. Would save a ton of time on move-in day.
@nurullah1luyย Thank you, thatโs a really useful suggestion. A video walkthrough saved directly to the selected room, with the room name, date, and timestamp added automatically, could make move-in inspections much faster while keeping everything organized.
Iโm adding this to the roadmap and will work on exploring the best way to implement it while keeping the experience simple and privacy-focused.
