Hello people of Product Hunt! 👋😄
Have you ever had an idea for a product and planned to have it done within 3 days? But then 3 years pass and you haven’t launched it yet?
I’m a designer who’s been launching startups for the past 10 years. I’ve been consistently frustrated by how long it takes to turn a design into a working product. I knew there had to be a better way. I started working on a small, front-end library back in 2018, which eventually evolved into what Remake is today.
Introducing Remake 2.0, an open source framework that lets you turn HTML & CSS into fully-function web apps in minutes.
Remake is a departure from accepted best practices, which try to convince you that “Web development is complex — and if it’s not, it’s not real web development.” Remake goes in the opposite direction: It shouldn’t matter how hard it is to build something — all that matters is if you help your users succeed.
Remake is straightforward and simple:
📎 Upload and store files in one line of HTML
📝 Easy for users to edit the page
📂 Sortable items with one HTML attribute
💡 Every user gets their own data
🔒 Secure user accounts
🛠 Built-in CRUD components
⚡️ Instant deployment

I hope you’re as excited as I am. I’d love to answer all your questions here throughout the day!
Oh my goodness! I am the luckiest. My wonderful wife surprised me with a custom Remake t-shirt the night before launch day 😊
Join our community and let’s Remake the web! 🧙♂️
P.S. Discount: I’m constantly inspired by the Product Hunt community and all the amazing people here. I’d like to offer you a 20% discount for being a part of the maker movement: REMAKE20 (works on all plans)
As someone who knows a little HTML + CSS but not much else, the idea I can use something simpler like Remake (compared to say JS) to build functioning web apps is really fascinating. Can't wait to try it out, and congrats on the launch @panphora!
I've been following your progress over the past few months of you building Remake, and it's been a joy to watch. From the care you take over every aspect of the site to the mammoth job of redoing the syntax, I'm delighted you've launched!
I'm not technical so I don't fully understand how Remake works, but what I do know is it stands for makers being able to make things faster, more efficiently.
Congrats on getting this live David, looking forward to see what people build with Remake 🎉
@jmckinven Thank you James, your support means a lot! I love your podcast btw! It inspires me to try harder and post more things in public (even if it's not easy at the time).
@upen946 Thank you! I'm excited to be a part of the low-code movement alongside Siteoly! I think empowering creators is the best business model there is. ✌️

Looks great, David. Good luck with the launch today!
@jameswf Thank you James! I love what you're doing with WhatFeatures and helping the indie hacker ecosystem grow.
Deciding which features to build can be a frustrating process and I respect how much you're helping product-driven founders solve that!

Excited for this David. And all the cool things one can make using Remake. Very promising🤓
A wonderful product by David. The easiest way to create a fully functional web app and launch your product quickly! Wish you all the best with your launch 🚀
After playing with the product I send some feedback to @panphora and he got back to me quickly with code for my demo idea as well as some new features in Remake to make it possible. And he did all that in less then 24h after my feedback even though he was busy preparing for this launch.
I’m curious how Remake will further develop as it has a lot of potential for quick prototyping, MVPs and simple web apps.
@konisupertramp Thank you Konrad. Open source is very important to me. I hate vendor lock-in and I love the idea that when everyone shares their ideas, everyone does better.
