Reflect - A private AI diary that listens, scans, and reflects

A private AI diary. Voice transcription, paper-diary OCR (photograph an old handwritten journal → digital), and pattern insights across months — MBTI from how you write, Happiness Patterns, Yearly AI Narrative. AES-256-GCM encryption on every entry. Zero-knowledge cross-device backup. PII stripped before any AI call. AI features fully disable-able from settings. 10 first-class languages — Korean, Japanese, Arabic, Hindi work properly, not bolted on. Free on iOS. No account required.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 — Reflect is the private diary I wished existed. Every "private" diary I tried was either PIN-locked plaintext SQLite (security theater) or made me trade my data to an LLM for AI features. Reflect is encrypted on your phone by default — AES-256-GCM with HMAC tamper detection — and the AI features strip personal identifiers before any model call. You can disable AI entirely if you want a pure offline journal. Two things I'm proudest of: • **Paper diary scanning.** Photograph an old handwritten journal page → Reflect dates the entry, extracts the text, tags the mood. Digitize years of history in an evening. • **10 first-class languages.** Voice transcription and AI insights work in Korean, Japanese, Arabic, and Hindi where most apps fall apart. Free on iOS today, Android closed beta. Free tier is usable forever. Happy to answer anything about the privacy boundary, the encryption scheme, or what it's like building 10-language UI as a solo dev. Thanks for checking it out!

@david_firouzbakht thank you for being one of the first to upvote 🙏 If you give Reflect a try, would love to hear what you think — especially of the paper-diary OCR.
