Hey everyone 👋 Referi came from a pretty frustrating realization. I was applying to roles the “right” way… tailoring resumes, applying everywhere, doing everything you’re supposed to do. And still...silence. Or instant rejections before anyone even looked. But the moment there was a referral, everything changed. That contrast didn’t make sense to me. If referrals are so powerful… why are they so random, awkward, and inaccessible? That’s what led to Referi. We didn’t want to build just another “networking” tool. Early on, we actually tried more open models… and it quickly turned into noise. Too many asks, not enough context, and trust started breaking down. So we shifted the approach completely. Instead of scale-first, we focused on: • trust over volume • structured connections over cold outreach • and controlled growth to maintain liquidity That’s why we’re rolling out access gradually...based on waitlist position and company...to make sure referrals actually work, not just exist. So far in early access: • 2,019+ professionals joined • 16 successful referrals • and more importantly...real conversations happening Still very early, still learning every day.
