Do you actually go back and read your old journal entries?
I've been thinking about this a lot while building Recounts.
Most journaling products focus heavily on getting us to write — daily streaks, prompts, reminders, reflections, etc.
But the part I'm increasingly interested in is what happens months or years later.
Do people actually come back and read what they wrote?
That's one of the ideas behind Recounts. I'm building it around capturing ordinary moments and turning them into stories that feel worth returning to — not just entries you write once and forget.
I'm curious about people who already journal:
Do you revisit old entries?
And if you don't, what would make you want to?
I'm especially interested in whether resurfacing old memories automatically would make journaling more meaningful, or just become another notification people ignore.
