A few months ago I was looking through old photos and realised something kinda annoying.

I could see where I was and who I was with, but for a lot of them I couldn't remember what actually happened that day.

The random conversations, stupid jokes, small things that happened basically everything that made the memory a memory.

I was dealing with an issue where automated scripts kept trying to "optimize" small stuff instead of just finishing the main task. You ask for a simple feature update, and suddenly it's changing file structures and refactoring background logic nobody asked for.

It feels like the more context you give them, the easier it is for them to get distracted by non essential tasks.

For people building with cursor or agent setups daily how do you look down scope so it stays focused on a single file or task?

I spent last month cranking out a couple of quick apps using AI tools and honestly the easy part was getting the features to work. The painful part was realizing that having a live product means nothing if you don't know how to reach your target audience.

Since the barrier to building is basically gone, distribution feels like the only thing that actually matters anymore.

For anyone who bridged that gap what did your first month of actual outreach look like?
