Receipt Scanner - Unlimited Scans, right in your browser! Images and PDFs

Keeping receipts organized should not require sending every purchase to a company’s server. Receipt Scanner lets you photograph a receipt or upload a PDF, then extracts the merchant, date, tax, and total directly in your browser. You review and correct the result before saving it. There is no account, no subscription, and no receipt upload. Your expenses stay in your browser’s local storage, with CSV and JSON export when you need a backup.

Hi Product Hunt. I built Receipt Scanner because I wanted a quick way to keep track of receipts without sending photos of them to another service. P.S: You can do unlimited scans!!!!! You take a photo or upload a PDF, and the app reads the merchant, date, tax, and total in the browser. The OCR engine runs on the device. There is no account and no backend storing receipt images. The app saves records locally in the browser and lets you export CSV or JSON backups. It also supports multiple expense books, budgets, insights, and PDF invoices. I want to be clear about what it is and what it is not. It is a small personal expense tool, not accounting or tax software. OCR is useful, but it is not perfect, so every field is shown for review before saving. I would especially like feedback from people who: - Keep receipts for work expenses - Do not want private documents uploaded - Receive invoices as PDFs - Have tried receipt OCR tools before Try it with a real receipt if you are comfortable, and tell me what felt confusing or what you expected to find. Honest criticism is more useful to me than compliments.
