RealDex is essentially a Pokédex for the natural world. Instead of pixelated monsters, you're catching real animals with your camera. We put the entire identification process on your device, so it works instantly even if you're miles from the nearest cell tower. It identifies over 10,000 species, handles the GPS logging, and builds a collection of your sightings. If you've ever spotted a weird bird or a cool beetle and wished you could 'save' it, this is for you.

I spent way too much time as a kid trying to complete my Pokédex, but at some point, I noticed the wildlife in my own neighborhood was actually cooler. I wanted to build something that brought that same sense of discovery to real life. The technical side was a bit of a nightmare. Getting a massive 165MB identification model to run fast on a phone, without killing the battery or needing an internet connection, took a lot of work. But now it works entirely offline. You can be deep in the mountains and still identify a rare species the second you see it. I'm really curious to see what people start finding.
