Reader lets you save all of your content to one place:
From articles to Twitter threads to PDFs to newsletters to RSS to epubs to... even YouTube!
You can then read, search, organize and (of course) highlight everything, with a Reader built for 2023.
Hey PH, cofounder of Readwise here. Very excited to finally be sharing the public beta of Readwise Reader with the world:
The main thing that makes Reader unique is that it supports almost any content type you could want to save/read/highlight:
* articles 📰
* PDFs 📊
* emails/newsletters 📧
* ePubs 📚
* twitter threads 🐦
* youtube videos (with transcripts) 📺
* RSS feeds 📃
Reader helps you get all of your content in one place. We then built a powerful reading and highlight experience, as well as a bunch of novel triage/organization features, so you can actually stay on top of that content!
There are also a lot of advanced features such as text-to-speech, GPT3 questions/summaries, super powerful highlighting (that includes markup and images), complex filtering/search (with our own query language), sleek mobile triage UI, keyboard shortcuts for reading/everything, integrations with note-taking apps, much more.
There's a lot more to the product and the story behind it, which you can read about in our launch blog post here: https://blog.readwise.io/the-nex...
We initially launched Readwise "1.0" on ProductHunt 5(!) years ago, and part of that product was integrating with all these different reading apps: Pocket, Instapaper, Feedly, PDF apps, and more. Our users constantly found problems with these reading apps and asked us to fix them... which ultimately lead to us building Reader!
So it's fun to be back here again, where it all started :) Thanks to @chrismessina for hunting us!

Great product! Will surely give it a try. Congratulations and best wishes !!
Best app of the year imo. Helped me improve my content consumption diet and get rid of the unpractical content hoarding habit. Congrats to the entire team!

I have been using Reader in private beta for the past two weeks and it has completely revolutionized how I consume content. Before, I had a complex system of free and paid services strung together by an overly complex workflow and still couldn't find a good way to annotate and highlight YouTube videos. With Reader, all the content I want in all its different mediums is in one place and I can easily highlight, annotate, and tag it - even YouTube videos! Within a week, I cancelled several subscriptions because Reader does what those services do and much better in several instances. The integration support, text-to-speech, and AI assistant are all just icing on the cake. I highly recommend, and congrats to the team on an awesome product!
Super helpful! Just downloaded the app. Just one question: Is it planned to also save podcast episodes to the app anytime soon? Thanks and congrats!

@ivo_scherkamp I would love to know the same thing. I listen in Spotify like most people and would love to share an Ep to reader and see a transcript I can highlight or something.

They say the mark of a product is how upset users would be if it ceased to exist. well, I'd be devastated. I use this in a way that I had never used it's predecessors. Such a great tool, well done team.
