I recently worked with the Pi for the first time... and while I know I'm late to the party, these are fantastic! So much cool little stuff to do at such a low price 😎
Now the question is...what do we build?
Ah, the joys of living in the UK. $5 in the US (so I figure about £3?) - nope, £8-£10 (~$14). Yet the product is manufactured here in the UK..
not sure where you're getting those prices. it's £4 in the UK. (out of stock obviously) £4 without the SD card -
I was looking mainly at element14 prices, no idea how I missed that - awesome.
unfortunately sold out in most places already.
They went fast!!
Can't wait to get my hands on this little beast and try this out. Pirate Radio Throwies
Hopefully this leads to a hardware revolution that can catch up the software revolution!
Well this certain validates the C.H.I.P. Can't wait to see more come out from this space.
I love the idea of this and I'll surely get one but I find the $5 advertised price a bit disingenuous. In Australia at any of the resellers you're looking at $20-30 for it.
Do anyone know if someone is selling it as a bundle with all the necessary things to make it "ready to run" ? I.E. Adapters of sorts to fit your usual gear? I want to know how much that'll run for. Thanks!
The Pi Hut sell an essentials kit : The main issue with the zero for a lot of issues is the lack of wifi. You can add it of course but with only 1 USB port you're soon messing around with usb hubs. Also check out the CHIP (the $9 computer), that has wifi on board. Availability is also an issue there though.
This is so cool! Love that it is made in Wales. Good show!
