Every regulated company, fund and trust has a 20-character Legal Entity Identifier, and there are 3.2 million of them in GLEIF's open Global LEI Index. The data is public, but the raw record is written in GLEIF's own field names: LAPSED, ENTITY_SUPPLIED_ONLY, NON_PUBLIC. Reading one properly takes knowledge of the rules.
