Is "pay to rank" fair? Honest question before we launch

RankIndia is a leaderboard for Indian startups, apps and small businesses where the only ranking rule is total bid. 1 gets you on the board, the highest total bid is #1, and everything resets on the 1st of every month.

I picked this deliberately: ads and directories already sell visibility, they just hide the price. Here the price is public, anyone can see what #1 cost, and your users can boost you without logging in.

Before launch I want to hear the objection, not the applause:

1. Does a leaderboard decided by money feel fair to you, or does it feel like pay-to-win?

Claim an empty #1 spot: most Indian states have no leader yet

Right now the All-India #1 costs a few hundred rupees, but the state boards (Bihar, Gujarat, Kerala, Punjab and 20+ more) and most category boards have zero listings. 1 makes you #1 there today, and you keep the spot until someone outbids you.

If you list before launch day, reply here with your link and I will boost you myself so you have at least one supporter on your page. Submit: https://rankindia.live/submit

Launching Monday: what should be on the roadmap?

We go live on Product Hunt this week. Current roadmap: a "Ranked #1 on RankIndia" badge you can embed for a backlink, city-level boards, and email alerts when someone outbids you.

What would you want first? And is there anything on the site that confused you in the first 30 seconds?

RankIndia - India's live leaderboard. List from ₹1, outbid to be #1.

RankIndia is a public leaderboard for Indian startups, apps, D2C brands, creators, college projects and local businesses. One rule: the highest total bid is #1. List for ₹1 (about 1 cent). Bid anything via UPI or card. Bids add up through the month, anyone can boost anyone, and every board resets on the 1st. Each listing also ranks on its state and category board, so a ₹50 bid can make you #1 in Bihar or in College Projects. Winners stay in the Hall of Fame forever.
