Rankify - Any question-paper PDF becomes a real CBT in your browser

by
Rankify turns any question-paper PDF into a genuine CBT — free, no signup, nothing uploaded. What's different: extraction has two free paths. Our public Gemini GEM needs no API keys - upload PDF, paste JSON. Or let the built-in AI read papers page by Mistral, NVIDIA with checkpoint-resume so a rate-limited crash costs one page, not eighty. Diagrams are never AI-guessed — you drag a box on the actual PDF and that exact crop ships with the question. Papers live only in your browser's IndexedDB.

Hey PH! 👋 I'm Naman, solo maker of Rankify. The origin is embarrassingly simple: my drive was full of question papers — coaching modules, pre-boards, random PDFs at midnight — and practicing them meant either printing (who owns a printer?) or paying test-series platforms for questions that weren't mine. So Rankify does one thing: PDF in → a real exam out. Three honest things I'm proud of: 1️⃣ Two free extraction paths — our public Gemini GEM (no API key, literally copy-paste) or an AI agent that reads page-by-page through Groq/Mistral/NVIDIA/local Ollama, checkpointing every page so rate-limit crashes cost you one page, not eighty. 2️⃣ Diagrams are never AI-guessed. You drag a rectangle on the actual PDF and that exact crop attaches to the question. Slower than "AI magic" — but correct, which matters when it's your exam. 3️⃣ The whole thing is client-side. No backend holds your data; papers and results live in your browser's IndexedDB. Clear browser data → gone by design. Also: yes, the app looks like a notebook — ruled paper, washi tape, sticky notes, a pencil ink-trail cursor, and a WebGL dither footer that ripples under your mouse. Come for the mock tests, stay for the sticky notes. It's free forever (PolyForm Noncommercial), fully open source: Roast it, break it with weird PDFs — weird formats are my favourite bug reports. 🙏
