What caught your last App Store or Play Store rejection?

I’ve been researching pre-submission checks for mobile apps. Apple rejected 1.93M of 7.77M submissions in 2024. Google says it blocked over 1.75M policy-violating apps in 2025.

I went through 25 tools that try to catch issues before review. That includes fastlane precheck, Greenlight, Google’s pre-review checks and Play Policy Insights, Checks by Google, and several newer AI reviewers. Most check metadata or code. Very few check what the app actually does at runtime against store policy, and none I found publish their accuracy against real rejections.

I wrote up the findings here:

I’d like to hear from people who ship apps:

  1. What was your last rejection for, and was it something a tool could have flagged?

  2. Which pre-submission checks do you run today, if any?

  3. If you ship several apps, what breaks at that scale that doesn’t break with a single app?

I'd love to hear your experiences and examples, rather than just opinions on tools.
