Purr Math Keyboard - Real math formulas by name, no LaTeX. Great for asking AI

by•
Most math input methods make you pick: a symbol-packed keyboard, or learning LaTeX from scratch. Purr Math Keyboard just needs the name — type "fraction" or "integral" and tap to insert a real formula (fractions, exponents, nested roots, integrals, limits). Tap Send and it drops into whatever you're typing — chat, notes, or AI chatbots. Great for asking ChatGPT a math question: it reads the formula image directly, no LaTeX needed. A real math keyboard, fully offline. Free on Google Play.

I kept running into the same problem — typing math on mobile means either hunting through a keyboard packed with symbol keys, or learning LaTeX syntax just to type a fraction. Neither felt right for something I wanted to do casually, in the middle of a chat. So I built an IME where you just type the name of what you want ("fraction", "integral") and tap a suggestion to insert a real rendered formula — no symbols to hunt for, no syntax to learn. The part I didn't expect: it turned out to be genuinely useful for asking AI chatbots math questions. I type a formula, hit Send into ChatGPT, and it reads the image directly and solves it — no LaTeX typing needed on either end. Still rough around the edges (conditional/piecewise functions need work), but the core experience is solid. Would love to hear what you think!
