How do you know when you’ve added too many features to an MVP?
I’m at the stage where every new piece of feedback seems to suggest another feature.
One person wants more filtering. Another wants AI recommendations to explain themselves. Someone else wants more product details before they feel comfortable making a decision.
At some point, adding “just one more thing” starts making the product harder to use instead of better.
I’m curious how other makers approach this.
When you’re evaluating an early product:
What makes an app feel intuitive from the first few minutes?
What’s the first thing that tells you the interface is trying to do too much?
Have you ever removed a feature that users thought they wanted, only to make the product better?
I’m currently wrestling with these tradeoffs in a product discovery app I’m building, but I’d love to hear experiences from founders working on completely different kinds of products.
