Pulsar - Live PC stats on your taskbar, without the bloat
by•
Keep an eye on your PC's performance without cluttering your desktop or wasting system resources.
Pulsar is a lightweight Windows 11 taskbar monitor for gamers, developers, and power users. Customize how your stats appear with live graphs, meters, or compact text, view detailed hardware information, and monitor everything from temperatures to FPS.
Place it anywhere on your taskbar or use it as a standalone desktop widget. Free, open source, and built to stay out of your way.

Pulsar started as a small side project after I noticed how much RAM similar system monitoring tools were using just to display a few stats. I figured there had to be a way to do the same thing with a much smaller footprint.
It's written in Rust + Slint and currently uses around 10-15 MB of RAM with basically no CPU usage. It puts live CPU, GPU, memory, disk, network, ping, FPS, and temperature stats directly on the Windows 11 taskbar.
What started as a simple taskbar monitor has grown quite a bit. There's now a hardware information and monitoring window with CPU-Z/LibreHardwareMonitor like functionality, including optional low-level sensor readings through PawnIO.
I've tried to keep things lightweight and optional wherever possible. No telemetry, no analytics, and no admin rights required for the main app.
It's free and open source, and I'm actively working on it. I'd love to hear what you think, especially if you run into issues with different hardware configurations or have ideas for features worth adding.
Thanks for checking it out!
