PTO Payout Calculator - Calculate PTO payouts, final paychecks & severance pay

Hey everyone 👋 I built PTO Payout Calculator after noticing that most PTO and severance calculators online were either outdated, difficult to use, or lacked transparency. I wanted to create a single platform where employees, HR teams, payroll professionals, and service members could quickly estimate PTO payouts, vacation payouts, final paychecks, severance pay, and military leave sell-backs. One challenge was balancing accuracy with simplicity. I spent a lot of time researching payout rules, tax implications, and state-specific regulations while keeping the experience fast and easy to understand. Technically, the project is built with Astro, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. I used Astro's Islands Architecture to keep pages lightweight and load JavaScript only when users interact with calculators.
