Hey Product Hunt :) I built Protocol because I kept running into the same problem, attending formal events and not being entirely sure of the details. What exactly counts as black tie optional? How do you address a bishop? Which fork, and when? The answers exist, but they're scattered across etiquette books written in 1987 and contradictory blog posts. I wanted something calm, precise, and always in my pocket. So I built it. It took about 4 months of evenings and weekends. A few things I'm proud of: The forms of address section covers royalty, the full peerage, diplomats, clergy, judges and the armed forces The calendar covers the real recurring occasions of the season with editorial context, not just dates You can add private occasions with your own checklists, dress notes and reminders — kept completely offline Happy to answer anything. And if etiquette isn't your world but you know someone attending Ascot this summer — send them this 👇
