Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built PromptAnywhere because I was tired of the copy-paste tax. Every day I'd switch between my code editor, ChatGPT, and back — just to clean up a paragraph or structure an error report. Three windows, four copy-pastes, and a broken train of thought. For something that should take 3 seconds, not 3 minutes. What it does: PromptAnywhere turns any input field into an AI-powered editor. Select text → triple space → AI processes it → one-click replace. The whole loop stays inside whatever app you're working in. Key design decisions: - Triple-space trigger: I tried hotkeys (all taken), menu bar clicks (too slow). Triple-space is the shortest path — your fingers are already on the keyboard. - Scene awareness: VS Code gets "coding task" templates automatically. WeChat gets "structured brief." No manual template selection needed. - System-level writeback: Results write directly back to the original input field with read-back verification. Falls back to clipboard paste for unsupported apps.
