What should I check before choosing a custom T-shirt manufacturer for bulk orders?

by

When choosing a custom T-shirt manufacturer for bulk orders, don’t only compare the price. The lowest price can become expensive if the stitching is weak, the fabric shrinks, or the logo print fades after a few washes.

Here are the main things I recommend checking:

  1. Fabric quality
Ask what fabric options are available. Cotton, polyester blends, and custom fabrics all behave differently in terms of comfort, durability, and printing quality.

  2. Stitching and finishing
For corporate uniforms, event T-shirts, or brand merchandise, the stitching should be neat and consistent. Poor finishing makes the product look cheap even if the design is good.

  3. Printing method
Different designs need different printing methods. Logo size, fabric color, order quantity, and usage all affect whether screen printing, heat transfer, embroidery, or other methods are better.

  4. Sample approval
Before producing in bulk, always check a sample. This helps confirm the fabric, logo placement, color, size, and finishing.

  5. Packing and delivery readiness
For bulk orders, packing matters. Proper folding, labeling, and packaging save time when distributing uniforms or merchandise.

I work with THE RPS LLC, where we handle custom T-shirt manufacturing, printing, stitching, quality checking, and packing for bulk orders. My advice is to always choose a supplier who can explain the full process clearly, not just give you a price.

A good manufacturer should help you avoid mistakes before production starts.
