Screenshots are becoming our second brain

by

I checked my phone recently and realized something surprising.

I had more than 4,000 screenshots.

Most weren't photos.

They were things I wanted to remember:

* articles

* travel plans

* receipts

* product ideas

* code snippets

* conversations

* recommendations

In a strange way, screenshots have become the easiest form of personal knowledge capture.

See something useful?

Take a screenshot.

Need it later?

Hopefully you'll find it.

The problem is that screenshots are excellent for collecting information and terrible for retrieving it.

We save first and organize never.

That's one of the ideas that led me to build PouchVerse.

Not because people need a better place to store screenshots, but because people need a better way to rediscover what they've already saved.

Curious if anyone else has noticed this:

How many screenshots are currently sitting in your camera roll?
