Pixel - The internet’s smallest collectible

by
All we do is stare at pixels. But we never appreciate the form and importance of each individual pixel. A tiny square dot on a screen.  So I’ve made an art piece showcasing this element that’s so ubiquitous in the digital age. It’s a rare, thought-provoking item sure to add prestige to any art collection. It’s not a useful image, it’s not a compelling image, but it highlights the building block of all the information we share each day.

I was writing a Substack series of letters but I became unwilling to share personal details of my life so after deleting it I thought about selling unique novelty items and for some reason I landed on the idea of a single pixel. There’s a project called the Million Dollar Homepage which sold a pixel as advertising space for $1. You can still find it online. My price is higher because of inflation and the fact that this is more of a conceptual art piece highlighting the unsung building block of the Information Age.
