Pigeon - Email API for your app, through your own Amazon SES

by•
Pigeon is a one-person prototype: an email API that sends the mail your product already owes people — welcome, password reset, receipt, invite — through your own Amazon SES account. Add a domain, drop in a sending key, call the API (Node, Python, Go, Java, Rust, Elixir) or SMTP. SES does the delivery; Pigeon holds the domain, key, log, and plan so bounces and limits show up before a user writes in. I built it for my own projects and use it there. This launch is to gather feedback, not to claim

Hey Product Hunt — Pigeon is a one-person prototype I built and personally run on my own projects. It is a thin email API (and SMTP) in front of my Amazon SES account: welcome, password reset, receipt, invite — from my own domain, with a key, a domain check, and a send log. I am not pitching a finished SaaS yet. I want honest feedback from builders who send transactional mail: - Is the API shape clear enough? - Would you use this instead of wiring SES yourself? - What is missing before it is useful day one? Site: Happy to answer anything in the comments.
