Peer is the fastest way to get on a video call with screen sharing: click once, send the link, talk. No sign-up, no download, no app — on either side. 1:1 rooms. Camera, mic, and screen are separate toggles. Media travels peer-to-peer over WebRTC. Rooms expire after 12 hours — no history, no recordings. Optional password. Any modern browser, desktop and mobile. Free. For when "let me see your screen" shouldn't need an account: family tech help, code reviews, showing a design to a client.

Hey PH — maker here. Peer came out of a recurring annoyance: helping my parents with computer problems. Every "quick call" started with ten minutes of "no, you don't need to create an account… actually you do." I wanted the URL itself to be the whole product. So the flow is: create room → copy link → send it. That's the entire onboarding, for both people. A few things about how it's built, since PH likes the technical bits: - Media is WebRTC peer-to-peer between the two browsers. My server handles signaling only; a TURN relay kicks in only when a direct path fails. - Camera, mic, and screen are independent tracks on one peer connection, so you can share a screen with no camera, or mic-only, or watch silently. - Rooms hold exactly two people. Nothing is recorded or stored. It's deliberately 1:1 — not trying to be Meet or Zoom. It's for the "just look at this with me" calls. Free, and staying free: because media doesn't transit my server, costs don't scale with usage. I'll be here all day — tell me where it breaks, what's confusing, or what you'd cut.
