Patter is an ambient text editor that lets you write in an incredibly cosy space with no distractions and a bunch of tactile interactions.
It is not meant to replace the tools you already write in, and it never will. It’s there for the moments when they feel too heavy and all you want is a warm space to put words down.
Why does it even exist? For some time now I’ve been developing an app that, as a teenager, I badly wanted to have. The only alternative I could find was paid, and I couldn’t afford it. I had this project on my mind since then.
I have always been more of a designer than a developer. Years later, I finally got enough knowledge to give that idea its first breath. On the scale of the internet, Patter is just one of the tiny tools, but for me it is something I can proudly call my own creation.
I don’t write as much nowadays as I used to, so instead of keeping Patter only for myself, I want to give it to the world and keep making it better, hoping I can help even a single soul on their writing journey.
