My sister is a scientist. And she needed a lab software for her work. I decided to build it for her. And as it turns out, she had a particular pain point in mind. Most labs use either a LIMS software or a ELN software, maybe even both, but separately. I decided to combine them both into one lab software for Principal Investigators, so they can invite their team and manage them, while their project gets done. Simple as that.
Have you considered adding a reagent inventory tracker that auto-decrements stock as samples are logged? Labs always lose track of who used what, and it would save so much time during audits if everything updated in the background without extra data entry.
@serdarurim Actually, I've already added that feature into Paraclyst. It's one of the basic features. A lab cannot operate without a lab manager. And the lab manager's role comes built into the software.
Tried the protocol editor and it felt surprisingly lightweight compared to other LIMS tools I've used, and the sample tracking view made it easy to see what was running where without digging through menus.
