PANDORA - Open source AI cinema pre-production tool

by
PANDORA is a free, open-source Windows app that centralizes your entire film pre-production workflow — screenplay, storyboard, casting, locations, props — and generates AI video clips directly from your shots using Seedance 2.0, Kling, PixVerse and 10+ other engines. Built for directors, screenwriters and content creators. No subscription: bring your own API keys (fal.ai for video, Claude for writing) — just a few cents per clip, no lock-in.

I'm a filmmaker who codes. I built PANDORA because I lived the problem firsthand: managing a film's pre-production across spreadsheets, Google Docs and a dozen separate AI tools was quietly killing my creative flow.

AI video generation (Seedance, Kling, Sora) is exploding — but the tooling around it is still primitive. Filmmakers copy-paste prompts by hand, with zero connection to their actual production documents. Your casting sheets, locations and props never inform the shots you generate.

PANDORA closes that gap. One app for the whole pre-production workflow — screenplay, storyboard, casting, locations, props — that generates AI video clips directly from your shots, using the context you already built. 13 engines under the hood (Seedance 2.0, Kling, PixVerse and more), with Claude handling screenplay formatting, storyboard generation and prompt translation.

A few honest notes, because this community deserves them:

- It's free and open-source (GPL-3.0). All the code is on GitHub.

- No subscription. You bring your own API keys ([fal.ai](http://fal.ai/) for video, Claude for writing) and pay a few cents per clip — no lock-in.

- It's a solo build, Windows for now, and I'm here all day to answer everything.

I'd love your feedback — especially from fellow filmmakers and from devs who've wrestled with AI video tooling. What would make this genuinely useful in your workflow?
