Whether it's a dream trip to Japan or your must try restaurants in NYC, Palette organizes it all so you're prepared before you even decide to go. What inspired me? Honestly, it was my own midnight doom-scrolling habit. I’d save dozens of TikTok/Reels/YouTube travel clips thinking “I have to go there someday”… then when I actually tried to plan a trip, I couldn’t find 90% of them. The excitement turned into frustration and eventually felt like a waste of time. I kept thinking there has to be a better way to keep all that inspiration alive instead of letting it die in saves and bookmarks. The problem I wanted to solve: Give people (starting with myself) a frictionless way to collect travel ideas passively over time so they never lose that spark — and actually turn it into real, personalized plans with ease. How the approach evolved: We started with forms, but asking people to copy-paste links felt like turning inspiration into a chore. Then I watched how my friends and I actually behaved: travel links exploding in group chats with zero organization, the reflexive tap of "share" for weekend plans, months of saved TikToks I'd never find again. We rebuilt around that—iOS Shortcuts let us live on your share sheet, so now two taps turn any scroll-sparked idea into something organized, mapped, and ready when someone says "let's go somewhere."
