Overlap - Curating the best podcast clips for you

Hi Product Hunt fam 😻 Like so many of you, we at Overlap (YC S24) love podcasts. Our CEO Jonathan’s favorite podcast has long been Acquired, Casey’s is Impaulsive (how Gen Z) and mine is Freakonomics. But these days, more and more people are engaging with podcasts in new ways: ⏱️Through clips instead of full-length episodes 🕵️Through topic-based searches instead of via subscriptions ✨Through algorithmic recommendations on social media, not global podcast charts We think the podcast apps aren’t adapting to this future - so for the past year we’ve been building Overlap. Overlap is a new iOS mobile app that uses AI to curate the best podcast moments for you. Each day, we’ll send you personalized clip-based playlists on topics you’re interested in – whether that’s Is Consumer Space Travel Here?, Kevin Hart’s Funniest Moments, or A Brief History of Credit Cards. Or if you have a topic in mind, prompt our AI to generate a custom playlist for you. This is a really interesting approach to podcasts, Overlap seems to hit the nail on the head in terms of future user engagement! I'm curious about the AI behind the curation process. How do you ensure the quality and relevance of the clips? Also, will there be options for user-generated playlists or community suggestions? Excited to see how this evolves.
