Outclimbed - Rank #1 without a $20,000 budget

by
Outclimbed is a public product directory where the ranking is not a secret. $10 puts your site or X profile on the wall with 10 permanent points, and every extra dollar is one more point. Every new person you send through your share link is +1, and +5 if they list a product of their own. Earned points expire after 30 days, so the wall keeps moving. Each listing shows what it paid and what it earned. No editorial picks, no hidden weighting, no five-figure barrier to the top.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built this because I could not afford the alternative. Paying publicly to outrank other projects became a thing almost overnight. I watched it, liked the honesty of it, and then did the math on getting my own projects anywhere near the top. It was not happening. Not on my budget. So I kept the part that works and fixed the part that shut me out. Outclimbed is a wall where position is bought, earned, and defended: 🔹 $10 gets you on with 10 permanent points. Every dollar above that is one more point, and bought points never expire. 🔹 Every listing gets a share link. Each new person who arrives through it is +1. If one of them lists a project of their own, that is +5. 🔹 Earned points expire after 30 days. Not fade - gone. Standing still costs you rank. That second currency is the whole point. Nobody has to outspend anybody to reach the top here. They have to be worth sharing. Everything is public: what each place cost, what it earned, how many clicks it sent out, what is about to expire. Including the unflattering numbers. What it does not buy: an endorsement, a Google ranking, or a position you get to keep. Saying that plainly costs me a few sales and I would rather have it on the page than pretend. I would love your feedback, especially on the points system - the decay rate and the +5 referral bonus are the two numbers I am least sure about. Tell me where they are wrong. - Martin

Love the “climb the wall” concept. The mix of permanent bought points and expiring earned points makes this way more interesting than a simple paid leaderboard. 🔥

Thanks, I think so too; I really hope I manage to develop it.

I like the idea for "climb the wall" just added all my products

Thanks - I hope it helps your products get more traffic
