Hey PH! I'm Yuri, co-founder of Oriane. This is tool #3 of "10 weeks to launch 10 free tools with Oriane's API". When you want to find a good restaurant in a city, you search on Google and read reviews written by strangers. Or you scroll TikTok and Instagram for an hour, saving videos you'll never find again. The truth is the best recommendations already exist. Creators film the plate, name the place out loud, and tell you exactly why it's worth going. But that's buried inside millions of videos, and none of it is searchable. The restaurant name is often just spoken, never typed. We built a huge infrastructure that watches and listens to millions of videos across TikTok and Instagram so you don't have to. This free (and no sign up required) tool is a small slice of that, using our API. Pick what you're craving and a city. Our AI watches and listens thousands of videos, then ranks the spots foodies actually recommend, with the videos behind every pick so you can judge for yourself. All Free. No login. You can even use it on your mobile web browser and directly see the places on the map and switch to see it in Google Maps. I'd love your feedback, what's the one restaurant you found on social that actually lived up to it?

Thibaut here, CTO of Oriane 👋

What's fun about this launch for me is that Restaurant Finder is really just a thin UI on top of our core API. Under the hood, every video gets processed through parallel layers with among them computer vision (what's on screen), spoken words (what the creator is actually saying out loud), and classic metadata like captions or mentions.

We then fuse all into a single structured result per video, which is what lets us do things like rank "best tacos in Dubai" from raw social content instead of relying on captions or geotags alone (most restaurant mentions are spoken, never typed, so caption-only search misses the majority of relevant videos).

If you're curious about structured signal from unstructured video at scale, happy to answer technical questions!

Julien here, cofounder of Oriane. Yuri and Thibaut beat me to it, so let me add the backstory.

Yuri came to me last month with a crazy commitment: 10 free products in 10 weeks, all built on our video intelligence API.

This is tool 3: the Restaurant Finder.

The problem is simple.
The best places to eat are the ones creators film again and again, but that signal is locked inside videos.
Review sites can only see text and stars, so they miss it, and they mix in ads.
You end up eating where someone paid to rank, not where people actually love.

So this tool does the watching for you. Pick a food and a city, and it scans 200+ creator videos, confirms the dish is on screen, checks the location, and reads what people say in the audio, captions and comments. Then it ranks the top spots on a map with the clips attached.

Free. No signup. Under a minute.

When we ran it on pizza in New York, Joe's Pizza came back number one, backed by a 3.3M-view review from and dozens more.

The fun part for this community: the whole thing is a thin app on the Oriane API.
Yuri built it in under a day with vibe coding.
The API does the seeing and hearing inside videos, the app is just UI on top.

If you want to build your own tools on it, happy to get you access.

Would love your feedback on this tool, and tell us what other free products we should build in the next 7 weeks?
