For those who don't know, about four months ago I adopted an orange cat, and as you can see from the photo, he likes working with me (or tries to, anyway). I’m a big fan of Apple Notes, despite a few reservations; I’ve tried using Notion or Obsidian, but for me, they’re like using a bazooka to kill a cockroach. Then, the other day, Kimi (named after the F1 driver, not the AI, haha) climbed onto my keyboard and completely altered a note—something I didn't notice until days later. That’s when I realized Apple Notes lacks a version history system, while all the alternatives require an internet connection. Born out of this frustration, I’m launching version 1.0 of OrangeCat, a Markdown note-taking app with an offline revision system. It’s a one-time purchase (I can't stand subscriptions anymore) and is available on the macOS App Store. I’ll leave some codes in the comments so you can redeem this first version for free.
