Optimly - The free, open database of how AI sees 5,000+ brands

by
See how ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini describe thousands of brands. Every AI visibility tool sells you monitoring. We built a free resource instead. The AI Brand Directory tracks how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity see 5,000+ brands — scores, sentiment, archetypes, and gaps. Agents built the foundation. Humans verify the ground truth. It gets smarter the bigger it gets. Look up your brand, add it if it's missing, correct what's wrong. The data belongs to the community.

Hey PH! 👋 I'm Apurva, founder of Optimly. Here's the story of how this directory came to exist — and it's kind of the point. We launched Optimly's first product on Product Hunt earlier this year. During that launch, AI crawlers indexed over 150 brand profile pages on our site that we never built. Agents were already finding us, scraping us, and building their own version of our data. That was the unlock: AI agents are already trying to catalog how brands exist in the world. They just don't have good source material. So instead of fighting it, we leaned in. We let agents do what they're good at — scanning, scoring, categorizing 5,000+ brands across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity at a scale no human team could match. Then we opened it up for humans to do what agents can't: verify, correct, and add the context that makes the data actually trustworthy. That's the AI Brand Directory. Agents built the foundation. Humans contribute the ground truth. And it gets smarter the bigger it gets. The patterns are already wild — 18.5% of brands are completely invisible to AI. The gap between the best and worst scoring brands in a category can be 60+ points. And most marketing teams have no idea where they stand. Every other tool in this space wants to sell you monitoring for your brand. We wanted to build a public resource for all brands. It's free. It will stay free. And we're publishing everything we learn through our newsletter Signal/Noise — for marketers who are doing six jobs at once and need signal, not more homework. Look up your brand. Add your brand if it's not there. Tell us what's wrong. The more people contribute, the better this gets for everyone.
