Openbar - Approve and reply to your AI coding agents from the notch
by•
Openbar puts every Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode session on your Mac into the notch. When an agent asks for permission, the island opens with the full command or diff, and you allow it with a click or ⌘Y from any app. You can also answer its questions or reply by voice. Free and open source, with a Windows beta.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm the solo dev behind Openbar.
I usually have several Claude Code and Codex sessions open at once, and I kept losing time to one of them sitting on a permission prompt in a terminal I wasn't looking at. Openbar moves those moments into the notch. You see the full command or diff, allow it with a click or ⌘Y, answer the agent's questions, or send a reply (typed or spoken) that lands in the right terminal.
It works with Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode, and shows Gemini CLI, Copilot CLI and Cursor sessions too. It's native Swift, free and GPL-3.0, and there's a Windows 11 beta.
I'd love to know which agent or terminal you'd want supported next, and what breaks on your setup.
