omadesign — native Linux creative suite - Native Linux creative suite, written in Rust

Omadesign is a native Linux creative suite, written in Rust and open source under MIT. Vector design, painting, and motion share one app. ARM64 and x86_64 builds install with one line into ~/.local, and the installer writes nothing to /usr.

Hey Product Hunt — Michael here. Hypership keep shipping: Omadesign 0.6.3 is live.

Omadesign is a native Linux creative suite in Rust (MIT) — Design, Layout, Pixel, Photo, Motion, and Agent — ARM64 and x86_64, Omarchy-themed.

0.6.3 makes Welcome a real workspace for organizing and opening documents:

- Scrub motion thumbnails by moving across them

- Ctrl-click selects files, Shift-click a range; Alt-click or Return opens in background tabs

- Right-click to reveal, move, clone, make templates, or Trash; drag into projects (Alt to copy)

- Project menus create Vector, Raster, and Layout docs and manage folders

- Personal templates reopen as editable unsaved copies; moves keep fonts/tabs/photo paths

- Typography gets its own sidebar tab; centered mode controls in rainbow colors across modes
