OKstays - Hotels ranked by real comfort, not commission

by•
Tired of noisy rooms, broken AC and uncomfy beds? OKstays scores 30,000+ hotels in 199 destinations on 67 comfort signals, like quiet, beds, shower, WiFi and AC, and ranks them by one Comfort Score. A hotel that fails a must-have (clean, comfy bed, good shower, bug-free, safe area) never gets ranked. Pick a travel style or the exact signals you need and get a shortlist with strengths and caveats. Also works inside Claude, ChatGPT and Grok. Free, no sign-up, and hotels can't pay to rank.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Oriol, the maker of OKstays. What inspired it: too many "quiet rooms" facing noisy streets and "fast WiFi" that barely worked. A 9.0 guest rating tells you guests were happy on average, not whether you'll sleep. In Dubai, FIVE Palm Jumeirah and Al Seef Heritage are both rated 9.0. One is a pool-party resort, the other a quiet heritage hotel. How it evolved: the first version, launched here in August 2025, was a set of comfort filters. For 2.0 I rebuilt it around one idea, ranking by comfort instead of popularity: • A Comfort Score for 30,933 hotels in 199 destinations, built from 67 signals like quiet, beds, shower, WiFi and AC • Five must-haves that are always on: clean, comfy bed, good shower, bug-free and safe area. 2,738 hotels fail at least one and never get ranked • Quick Match: pick a city and one of 8 travel styles (Deep Sleep, Digital Nomad, Family…), or the exact signals you need • Rankings like "best quiet hotels in Barcelona", a global Top 100, comfort stats, and a public log of flagged hotels (closed, renamed or under review) • OKstays inside Claude, ChatGPT and Grok: add okstays.com/api/mcp as a custom connector and ask in plain words How the scores work: an AI model scored each hotel signal by signal. Next, I'm re-scoring hotels one by one with Claude reading their newest and lowest-rated guest reviews. How OKstays makes money: affiliate links. If you book through OKstays I earn a commission, but it never changes the order, and hotels can't pay to rank. It's free, with no sign-up needed to search. I'd love your feedback: 1. Pick a city you know well. Does our top 5 match your experience? 2. Which comfort signal is missing for you?
