octoscope v0.21.0 β€” Pin the issues you keep coming back to πŸ“Œ

octoscope's Repos tab has had pinned repos for a while now β€” a sticky section up top for the handful you actually live in. This release gives the Issues tab the same treatment.

Press P on any issue (or pick Pin from the space action menu) and it sticks to the top, in the order you pinned it, across refreshes and restarts. It composes with everything else you already do: the sort cycle (s) reorders only the rest, and the / filter narrows both sections at once. The set is saved to your config under pinned_issues, so the next launch brings them right back β€” press P again to unpin, and a pinned issue that gets closed just stops showing.

Small thing, but if you're tracking a few issues across different repos that you keep scrolling back to find, they now stay exactly where you put them.

As always it stays read-only β€” public GitHub, your existing gh login or a $GITHUB_TOKEN, no mutations.

This is actually a small but really useful feature. Pinning issues sounds simple, but if you’re tracking multiple repos it saves a lot of scrolling for finding.

Nice example of polishing workflow instead of adding more features πŸ‘

Β thanks Hossein, really appreciate it πŸ™ octoscope is something i use every day, so most releases are just me scratching my own itch. pinned issues was one of those β€œwhy didn’t i do this sooner” things. glad it resonates!

Nice update, The fact that pinned issues persist across restarts is what makes this actually useful instead of just a temporary shortcut.

I’ve noticed the same pattern on launch platforms. The products that catch my attention are usually the ones that explain a real frustration instead of just listing features.
