Revolutionising the "Action" in Agentic AI 🚀 Hi Product Hunt! We are so excited to introduce Nova (part of the Compass Agentic Platform) to the community today. What inspired us to build this? We saw a massive gap in the current AI landscape. While "Generative AI" is great at answering questions or writing snippets, "Agentic AI" is about doing. We wanted to move past the era of copy-pasting code from a chat window and build a teammate that actually understands the "how" and "why" of a codebase. We were inspired by the vision of an autonomous SDLC where the AI doesn't just suggest—it implements. What problem were we trying to solve? The "Context Crisis." Most AI tools lose the plot when tasks become complex or have long horizons. Developers spend too much time managing the AI rather than the code. Nova was built to solve the execution bottleneck. As the Software Engineer agent in our ecosystem, Nova handles the heavy lifting: identifying packages, analyzing logic, defining APIs, and writing high-quality code that follows your specific project patterns—all while maintaining a persistent strategic context. How did our approach evolve? Initially, we thought about Nova as a standalone tool. However, we quickly realised that a great engineer is only as good as the PRD and architecture they are given. That’s why we evolved Nova into a collaborative agent. It works in sync with other specialised agents (such as those handling product requirements or system design) to ensure that what is built aligns with the business objective.
