Context
We initially built Notte (YC S25) because the web is designed for humans, not AI agents. We worked on a perception layer mapping noisy sites into clear markdown for LLMs, hoping it’d improve web agents performance a lot. Turns out it’s OK to get to 90% on benchmarks but when you need to do actual work at scale - it still sucks (especially for enterprise customers)

The news
That’s why we built Notte Hybrid Agent Workflows - to have traditional web automation scripts meet with agentic steps. You can use a web agent from scratch to discover an automation path. Freeze all the routine into deterministic steps and keep agentic steps only to handle the passage requiring reasoning. A website breaks? No problem - an agent fallbacks at inference time to make sure your script makes it to the end - always.
