Hi Product Hunt, I'm Saffron, the one behind Nomad. I built it because my days at the computer kept blurring together. I'd sit down to work, look up hours later, and realise I hadn't moved or taken a real break. The timer apps I tried wanted an account, a subscription, or a whole system to learn. I wanted something that quietly keeps time, tells me when to step away, and tells me when to come back. What Nomad does: - Set a work length and a break length (minutes or hours) - Press Start and it cycles work -> break -> work until you stop it - Native notification on every switch - Lives in your system tray with Start / Pause / Resume / Stop / Quit - Closing the window hides it to the tray, so you can't lose a session by accident What it doesn't do, on purpose: no accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics, no subscription. Settings are one JSON file on your machine. It's open source (MIT) and built with Tauri v2, React and Rust. Installers for Windows, macOS and Linux are on GitHub. Honest caveat: the macOS and Windows builds aren't code-signed yet, so you'll see a warning on first launch. That's the next thing on my list. I'd love to hear what work/break lengths you use, and what one feature would make this your daily timer. A "long break every N cycles" option is the top candidate for the next version.
