NightMe - Stop staring at AI agents. Run parallel daemons from mobile.

by
NightMe drives your local AI Coding Agents — Claude Code, Codex, DSH etc. — from chat. Send a message in any connected chat platform; NightMe routes it to the right agent process and returns the reply as a structured card. Multiple chats run in parallel — one per project. Multiple agents work in parallel, each on its own task — switching between them is instant, no cold restart. NightMe doesn't replace your agent subscriptions or memory; it sits in front of them and keeps them warm.

Hey folks! 👋 I’m the creator of NightMe. To be completely honest, I didn't build NightMe to write marketing copy. I built it to save my own sanity, while keeping my code strictly secure. Like many of you, I tried local AI coding agents. But I quickly realized a frustrating truth: I was still chained to my desk. Every time I ran an agent locally, I had to sit in front of my CLI. The moment I walked away, the AI would pause and wait for an interactive prompt—either to authorize a file write or fix an infinite loop. I wanted to step away, but I refused to upload my proprietary code to some random cloud startup just to get a mobile view. And I certainly didn't want to install another clunky, buggy mobile app on my phone. So, I dogfooded a much cleaner, local-first solution. I bridged my local machine to my favorite phone IM (lark/feishu). That’s how NightMe was born. Your local machine runs the code, and your pocket chat app is the control tower: - 🔒 100% Local & Private: No cloud, no middleman, no SaaS subscriptions. Your codebase never leaves your local machine. - 💬 Your Chat App is the UI: NightMe hooks up to your IM app via simple webhooks/bots. Your existing chat app becomes your remote developer console. - 📱 True Desk Freedom: When your local AI hits a prompt or needs file-write permission, it pings your phone. You review the diff and reply with a tap to approve or guide it, while grabing a coffee or lying in bed. - 📂 Multi-Project Fleet: Spin up tasks on multiple local repositories concurrently, and manage each background daemon in separate chat threads. - ⚡ Zero Infrastructure: Just run the local CLI and plug in your IM bot token. You are set up in under 60 seconds. It is 100% open-source because I want fellow developers to reclaim their freedom without compromising their privacy: Try it out, and let me know: What's your go-to IM app for controlling your local daemons? I can't wait to hear your feedback! 🚀
