NeuroMoney Launch Day - Founders note

Hi Everyone,

Founder, Luke Henderson, here! I have been working on this project for close to 2 years having started around april 2024.

I originally designed this app to just be a multi-retailer online shopping list I could use to keep all of my favourite products and brand favourites

so that I could easily find them and order them in future without having to search for the best deals every time etc. Over time, I found many more implementations and ideas I could add and it slowly became a financial management app aswell. At launch it will have three simple functions, the shopping list, subscriptions tracker and bills tracker. The idea of this app is to help other Neurodivergent, ADHD and Autistic adults in saving money by teaching them best practices through the NeuroMoney software. We aim to help create an ethical and sustainable option for financial and shopping management that relys on visibility and simplicity rather than by following dopamine trends. Furthermore, I believe in privacy and ownership over your own data and therefore NeuroMoney is strictly not working to share users financial data etc. I purely want to help as many people as possible, by providing an alternative finance tool. There will be a free version as well as a paid version and both versions will have access to all features (although limits will apply on a free account), as I don't want support to stay behind a paywall. However, I still need to make sure I can break even and offset the costs and therefore decided upon a monthly subscription amount of 3.99 / $5.38 monthly or 39.99 / $53.92 yearly, ensuring I can cover operational costs while staying accesible to most.
Im a 22 year old MSc student studying datascience and artificial intelligence at Newcastle University and was diagnosed with ASD Type 1 at 15 years old. I was later diagnosed last year during development of NeuroMoney with ADHD combined type. I was never good with money and somehwat still struggle however having used this app for my personal finances while building, I have managed to see exactly what works and what doesnt, helping me build it from personal experience, creating a simple and extremely intuitive workflow to reduce cognitive overload and to ensure NeuroMoney stays easy and accessible for all. I have a lot of updates to ship over the next few months as I scale with some extra features ontop of the base set of features at launch (where I plan to add automations, more shopping list retailers, open banking etc).
NeuroMoney is unique in a way that most finance apps that claim to be "neurodivergent", "Autism" or "ADHD" friendly either werent designed with this type of user in mind, or werent built by a Neurodivergent person itself, leaving big gaps in UX flow that could really help somebody like me. Essentially, I built it to fix a problem I had myself, and in doing so have created a platform that should hopefully help many others.
Please, if there are any ideas that you think would work well with a project like this, or there are features you find missing from apps like these that you yourself need, let me know as any ideas to help me help others are much appreciated...

NeuroMoney - Neurodiverse, ADHD & Autism Money and Shopping Management

NeuroMoney is a neurodiversity-first money visibility and planning tool built for adults with ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent profiles who want calmer, more sustainable money admin. Instead of assuming perfect consistency, it focuses on low-cognitive-load design, clearer routines, and a “good enough” approach that’s easier to maintain. At launch (planned for 28 February 2026), NeuroMoney centres on three practical jobs: planning shopping, tracking subscriptions, and tracking bills.
