When I first started working on NetShare, it was nothing more than a simple terminal running on my computer. There was no graphical interface, no media player, and definitely nothing close to what the application has become today.
I wish I had kept a screenshot of that first version. Unfortunately, the computer I originally developed it on died, and I lost those early screenshots. Back then, I had no idea how far I would take this project.
I just wanted a way to access my files from another device without having to upload them somewhere or create an account every time I needed something. But as I kept working on it, I started thinking about something else.
NetShare Player turns your computer into a private media and file server. Browse, stream, download, upload and manage files from your phone on the local network, or connect remotely through a tunnel configured by the host. No NetShare account or subscription is required.
