Netfox 0.9.0 — what's new 🦊

Just shipped Netfox 0.9.0 — here's what's new since 0.8:

🔔 Notch HUD

- A Dynamic-Island-style overlay grows out of your MacBook's notch with live device, risk, public-IP and traffic readouts — a discreet pill that expands when you reach for it.

- Four layouts: Horizontal, Vertical, Panel, and the Super Island — a tabbed dashboard (Devices · Risk · Traffic · Alerts) where clicking a row jumps straight to that device's detail.

- Open it your way: on hover, click-to-pin, or hover-then-click. Off by default, and only on Macs with a notch (Settings → Notch).

🔍 Sharper device recognition

- Your gateway is now labelled a Router.

- Reads the product behind a device's web page, and flags the ones that need a login.

- Knows more vendors and ports out of the box.

✨ Polish

- Steadier device list — brief network blips no longer make devices flicker in and out.

- The colored menu-bar icon is now the default.

- Settings: new layout
