I run a small record label and I'm out at gigs constantly, so I'm always forming quick opinions on music "skip track 4, but track 7 is incredible," or "that set was unreal." And there was just nowhere good to put them. Either the thought vanishes into a tweet nobody sees an hour later, or you're expected to sit down and write a whole review. Nothing in between.

That gap is the entire reason Scene Score exists. Fast, opinionated, actually fun closer to Letterboxd than Spotify or a music blog. Rate an album out of five, drop a one-line take, and it's logged forever. And because I'm always out at shows, it does live too: log every gig, set and festival you go to, not just the records which is the part I couldn't find anywhere else.

The build changed a lot along the way. I started out wanting to add features, but the more I used it myself the clearer it got that the whole value was the format quick takes, simple ratings, zero pressure to sound polished. So I spent most of the time stripping things back, trying to make the act of reviewing feel as fast as the reaction itself.

It's been a solo build and a proper labour of love, and it's live on iOS now after a genuinely brutal road to the App Store. I'd love your honest takes what feels good, what's missing, what you'd want from a music diary. It's day one and your feedback shapes where it goes next.
