Hi PH! I built MyRate FX because banks quote one exchange rate and charge another, and nobody publishes the difference in one place. What it does: we read each bank's OWN published exchange board every day (648 banks across 51 countries) and show the rate each one would actually apply for card payments, ATM withdrawals, cash and transfers, next to the mid-market reference. There's also a card-fee checker, a travel-budget calculator, and my favorite: the DCC check ("pay in local currency or your own?") where you type what the terminal offers and get an instant verdict against your own bank's real rate. Three principles that shaped it: 1. No invented numbers. Every figure traces to a bank's published source or to what you typed. If a bank doesn't publish something, we say "not published" instead of estimating. 2. No bank pays for position. Ranking is computed from the numbers only. Affiliate links (where they exist) are labeled sponsored and never touch the order. 3. Honest freshness. Every rate carries the date we last confirmed it against the source; stale is labeled stale. Apple actually rejected an early build over a data-provenance label, so we rebuilt the pipeline so every rate names what really priced it. Under the hood, autonomous agents collect the boards daily, repair broken connectors, and research each bank's published fee documents, with an adversarial verifier that kills anything it can't source. Happy to answer anything about the data pipeline. Free, no account, web + iOS + Android.
