Mycelium - Multiplayer strategy game inspired by living fungal networks

by•
Mycelium is a free multiplayer strategy game that runs in your browser. You play a fungus spreading underground: grow into soil, fight your enemies for territory, and absorb them. Its main rule is the supply line. Every part of your network must stay connected to your origin. If an enemy cuts through a thin strip of your territory, everything on the far side starts to wither and dies after a few seconds unless you reconnect it. Battles are won with chokepoints, encirclement and well-placed cuts.

Hello everybody, I built Mycelium because I love simple strategy games where the rules are easy to understand, but the decisions can get tactical. In Mycelium, you grow a living fungal network across the map, you compete for territory and biomass, and try to cut your opponents off from their network. One well-placed attack can disconnect a huge part of an enemy colony. It runs directly in your browser so you don't have to download anything. You can play against AI, jump into multiplayer, or create a private room to play with friends. Mycelium is still actively being developed, and this is one of the first times I'm putting it in front of a bigger audience, so I'd love any feedback, especially on the gameplay, balancing, UI, anything you can think of, and of course what you'd like to see added next. Thanks for checking it out!
